REVIEW: Lechery Lustrous Silky Shiny Pantyhose
A glossy new addition, I test out the latest brand for super shiny tights.
After seeing ad after ad in my Instagram feed for the newest and most celebrated name in glossy tights, I decided to take the plunge and purchase a few pairs from Lechery. I tried out three options of their Lustrous Silky Shiny Pantyhose for this review: 1) 20 Denier in Black, 2) 40 Denier in Blue, and finally 3) 40 Denier in Black. I have mixed feelings about the pantyhose quality (the appearance just doesn't seem smooth and luxurious) and fit (the high waist is SUPER HIGH), but the lustrous aesthetic truly shines in the heavier 40 denier variety. I'd be willing to give Lechery another go—I love the brand concept of affordable luxury and the founder's inspiring story—but I would cautiously size down and intentionally buy on a super sale ... which is happening now at 40% OFF of EVERYTHING. ➜ 𝐅𝐈𝐓: This aspect is my biggest concern about the hosiery. Always checking the size chart for height and weight, I selected the L/XL. Truthfully, I fall into the M/L category but that was not an option to purchase. The waist is incredibly long and that is not an exaggeration. The waistband can be stretched over my bustline and rolls down when I move. I also found that the length in the legs created some bunching in areas like the knees and toes. Knowing what I know now, I would size down in the future.
➜ 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋: The 40 Denier provided the best hand feel. Smooth and soft and easy to wear (with the exception of the waistband issues). It has a hint of luxurious feel for the price tag.
➜ 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘: Another question mark for me. The 20 Denier pantyhose did snag a bit but both 40 Denier tights held up to the test.
➜ 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: I was disappointed in the look of 20 Denier tights ... not as shiny as I had hoped for an iridescent sheen. But both 40 Denier color options do shimmer and shine. I mean, look at that blue though—opalescent and mesmerizing.
➜ 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐈 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐈𝐓: Legs are where it's at for these tights. Skirts and heels for sky high legs with glossy appeal. With the right fit, I would wear Lechery tights with moxie and delicious intent.
